Lamentation For A Beloved Country by Peter Essoka

Underneath the lines of “Lamentations” resides the intellectual integrity and temerity of a man – Peter Essoka – who   has taken an uncompromising posture against those who inflict pain and suffering on fellow compatriots especially those in the downstairs category in society. As a genuine patriot, Uncle P (our affection name for him) strongly believes that, the rubbish littered on the moral landscape of Cameroon over the years needs to be cleansed and thoroughly too. As Cameroon clocks Fifty as a nation-state, Peter sees that moral cleansing as the only pathway to socio-economic and political salvation which can generate wellbeing for all Cameroonians.
Reading Lamentations is also taking an intellectual journey into the beauty of the English language.
