In this collection of poems, Loveline Azah Awah performs a meticulous job of carefully conceiving and writing our simple but highly meaningful poems that address specific issues that are relevant to the development of children into useful and responsible citizens. The poems deal with themes of sharing, love, patriotism, respect, hope and hard work, among others. The ‘Think and Speak Out’ exercise that comes at the end of each poem gives pupils the possibility to think creatively and independently in relation to the theme of the poem. This is vital to the development of the creative and critical abilities of the children.
